My Sprint Week
From my previous post, a Sprint Week is when you put everything aside and focus on one thing. It could be an idea, a language, an area of interest, etc. My was Elections.
Without going through the randomness of my Sprint Week, I like numbers, and Math. I found myself looking at election results and starting seeing articles about independent voters and how important they are in elections.
The statistics varied but roughly 33% of registered voters chose not to be associated with a political party. 33% Democrat, 33% Republican, and 33% independent. What happened to our two party system? Did we have a three party system? Well, as it turns out, Independent isn’t a 3rd Party, and in fact, many of that 33% leans one way or another. So, why are unaffiliated?
At that point, I went back to my bad political experience discussed in my first blog post and realized, Politics = Chaos and who wants to be involved in Chaos?
My editorial on Political chaos is coming next.
