Frequently Asked Questions
Is iVoteIndie a Political Party?
No. iVoteIndie is a platform for Independent voters to find each other and amplify their individual voices.
Why did you choice to become a Virtual Political Party?
Time and time again people have tried to create a 3rd party and it has never been effective. While frustrating at times, we believe that our existing two-party system in the United States works but that moderate people inside each party have lost their voice and need a way to express their opinions in a manner that can be amplified and thus, more relevant.
What is the connection between Bitcoin and iVoteIndie?
The ‘connection’ between Bitcoin and iVoteIndie is only at the philosophical level.
Just like there was no meaningful way for Bitcoin to partner with the U.S. Government to create a modern standard for stable money that would replace the gold standard, there is not a way for anyone to create a physical third political party in our two party system.
That’s why, like Bitcoin starting with a white paper and a small group of people that believed in a more stable store of money, I think we can start with a white paper and a small group of people to build a modern platform to influence politics and create a more stable and representative political system in the United States.
What’s the difference between iVoteIndie and Andrew Yang’s Forward Party?
Andrew Yang’s Forward Party is PAC trying to become a third political party. Like iVoteIndie, they plan on supporting candidates that may be Republican or Democrat but unlike iVoteIndie they plan to run and elect their own candidates and become a recognized third party in our two party system. Think about the impact that the American Patriot, Libertarian, Green, and Constitution parties have had and its pretty easy to figure out where the Forward Party will end up.
