Last Spring, I started working on the idea of a direct digital overlay of the U.S, election process. Why? Because the world is now real-time and the election process is not. VoteNow! was designed it to allow virtual, mock voting on real elections, candidates, issues, and trending topics via a smartphone app and a backend election server to manage federal, state, and local election data.
This Summer, I pivoted VoteNow! to what is now iVoteIndie. iVoteIndie is focused on branding and aligning the 61 million independent voters in the U.S. as a virtual, 3rd political party. The approach is to unite Independent voters as a ‘common brand’ similar to the way Republicans and Democrats are organized today. Only online, and virtually. The main components of the iVoteIndie solution include: branding (logo, colors, animal, etc); app-based, election style voting; a centralized election server; and Independent-specific media and content. All focused on Independent voters.
I recently completed a programming course through ‘Girls Who Code.’ This allowed me to build the iVoteIndie website, write the content, develop merchandise, launch a Brand Store, develop an investor presentation, and author 3 white papers. I am just starting the fundraising process. See www.ivoteindie.com for more information on everything mentioned in this essay.
